Whew!! What month! That's all I have to say.
Gillian was thrown out of her pre-school for biting in mid June. We had to transition her to a new school where she is now doing just fine (no biting at all). Hmmm...Which leads me to believe that my argument to the previous school was that the issue was the adult supervision in the classroom and not a 16 month of baby who has very few words with which to express herself!!!! Oh my goodness, you have no idea how many times, I picked up Gillian from school and found the teachers who were supposed to be supervising and interacting with the children, having a high old conversation in the shade while the little the little ones were playing alone unsupervised. I won't get started because I just get angry all over again.
We will transition Nathan to the same new school beginning in September when he is ready for the 3 year old classroom. We didn't want to have to make two transitions within a couple of months of each other and so made the decision that we would just wait for Nathan to age into the next classroom setting.
Frances is getting ready for the Santa Clara County Fair. She's been working everyday with her lamb training him getting him ready for show. She's doing a great job and the lamb looks good too. We attended the exhibitors meeting last night at the fairground and boy was there alot to learn. The FFA kids participating will be busy the entire first week of August. They have to be at the fair from 7 am to 6pm every day. Long long days coming up for these kids in the heat.
Let's see what else. Here's how mid June went...
Monday morning - pick up Gillian for biting and by the way she's kicked out of daycare, no backup. Had to call the President of the company to discuss issues with classroom teachers and appropriate interaction and supervision of all the children in the classroom. (Agreed to let us move Gillian to another classroom at a different school but still owned by the same company.)
Also Monday morning (swamped with work), my administrative assistant decides to give one week notice to move back to India (Great, thanks for the advance notice!!).
Tuesday - driving home from work late afternoon, and my bug decides to quit on the freeway. Let's see that was 2 hours to wait for tow to get the car to the dealer for repairs.
Wednesday - damage to the car - water pump, and timing belt and $2000 if you please.
Thurday - Girls night out - Dinner with friends and two glasses of wine (fancy French restaurant), and 2 cosmopolitans - HEY!! I deserved it after my week. Course if you don't drink much, which I don't, then lets just say I was feeling much better about my week.
Nathan had a fever Monday and Tuesday this week. I worked from home in the mornings then Cris covered the afternoons.
Cris drove to work last night (trying get in his missed hours at work, so he can take Friday off to play golf) about 10:00pm and called around 10:30pm saying his car had blown a radiator on his way to the office and was blowing smoke and steam everywhere. Great!! Had to go pick him up. Will it ever end?
